Congress‘s Risky Prashant Kishor-Like Experiment!

Political Strategist Sunil Kanugolu played an instrumental role in Congress Party‘s victory in the recent Karnataka Assembly elections. He designed a very interesting campaign ‘40% Sarkara‘ defaming the BJP and it paid off.

Congress is now keen on using the services of Sunil for the Government as well. He has been appointed as chief advisor to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with the rank of a Cabinet minister.

Sunil Kanugolu was previously with Prashant Kishor‘s I-PAC and is operating independently later on.

It is interesting to note that Prashant Kishor was also made the Vice-president of Janata Dal (United) after he played a decisive role in Nitish Kumar‘s Victory in Bihar in 2018.

But then, the experiment backfired. Differences arose between PK and Nitish Kumar and we have seen PK pursuing Political plans independently.

We will have to see how Sunil and Siddaramaiah‘s relationship plays out.
