Government recognized Container Corporation of India is planning to setup a manufacturing facility in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. It is said that the state government already instructed the district administration to collect land for this facility.
Since Krishnapatnam port is near and another Duggarajapatnam port coming up, Nellore district becomes apt location for the container manufacturing unit. Several manufacturing units are coming up along in the Vishakapatnam and Chennai industrial corridor and the containers will be in high demand in future along this stretch for commodity transportation.
Container Corporation of India is yet to reveal the details of the manufacturing unit. Central government already revealed its plans of making Krishnapatnam as Industrial Smart City.
