Today, it was ex YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy’s turn to go through SIT investigation in Vijayawada CP office, regarding the AP liquor scam. There was a lot of anticipation among people as to what he will divulge.
After the last SIT investigation, Sai Reddy told media that Raj Kasireddy was the karta, karma, kriya of liquor scam. This time, he appeared to have toned down his stance.

He addressed media following SIT inquiry and said that he encouraged Raj Kasireddy who joined the party in 2018, as he did not see the criminal side of him.
Vijayasai Reddy said he gave him posts within the party so that Kasireddy could grow in the party. I made him NRI in-charge, made him coordinate with strategist Prashant Kishor, said Sai Reddy.

However, he told media that he barely knew what happened after the party came to power in 2019 as he was only active between October and December. Post that, he knew nothing, said Sai Reddy.
When asked about details regarding the liquor scam, Sai Reddy maintained that such questions need to be posed to Raj Kasireddy. When asked as to who gave directives to Raj Kasireddy, Vijayasai Reddy told the reporters that he was as clueless as them.

Sai Reddy said once his ex party came to power, all his misconceptions of being second in the party ended. He said there is no No 2 in a regional party. In fact, there is no one till 100, he told media.
Sai Reddy said the coterie he mentioned about, filled the ears of his ex leader, and made sure that he fell from No 2 to No 2000 position. As I said earlier, I quit the party unable to bear the pressure from the coterie.
Also, when I came to know there was no place in Jagan’s heart for me, I quit the party, said Sai Reddy.
He was then asked about joining the BJP. To this, Sai Reddy gave a diplomatic answer. He said he had no intentions of joining the BJP. But added that he is free to do whatever he wants. Join politics, do business or agriculture. I don’t need any permissions, said Sai Reddy.
