COVID-19 Returns

India is seeing a worrying rise in COVID-19 cases across several states, raising urgent concerns about a possible new wave of the pandemic.

Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Kerala are reporting fresh infections, putting healthcare systems on high alert.

Kerala currently leads with 273 active cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 66, Maharashtra at 56, Delhi 23, and Karnataka 36.

Even the Telugu states are no longer safe, with new cases emerging and increasing the threat in southern India.

The situation is serious, with recent deaths highlighting the severity of the outbreak. A 21-year-old man in Thane, Maharashtra, and an 84-year-old in Bengaluru have died from the virus.

In total, seven people have recently died due to COVID-19 complications, showing a worrying rise in fatalities.

Across the country, active cases have crossed the 1000-mark, with Kerala again leading at 430 active infections. Maharashtra has 209, Delhi 104, and Gujarat 83 cases.
