CRDA gears up for socio-economic survey!

crda act in apAll the twenty nine villages that are going for land pooling for Andhra Pradesh’s Capital are until now agriculture based. However due to the capital, the farming is no longer possible here and all the people right from agricultural labour to Land lords will not have any work to do.

So the government had started a survey to ascertain the socio economic status of the landless poor, small and marginal farmers and the communities living in the villages. The survey will focus on introduction of skill development programmes, payment of a monthly compensation and other welfare measures to address issues of loss of livelihood, possible migration and displacement.

The total population in the capital notified region is 1.52 lakh, out of which there were 42,076 Dalits and 7,370 tribals. CRDA is currently busy finalizing the parameters of the survey and will begin the survey process very soon.
