Reports are emerging that the historical Amaravati Foundation Stone laying ceremony will happen at Uddhandarayunipalem. Guntur Collector Kranthilal Dande and Police officials were to go to the village and select the place for the ceremony on Wednesday but the trip was cancelled in the last minute due to rain.

The finalized location today, will be announced by the state government on Friday. CRDA will immediately take the place under control and prepare it for the grand ceremony. Police will also take over the area as it will host a high profile event attended by the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
The event will happen on 22nd October on Vijaya Dasami day. One Lakh people including VIPs and VVIPs will attend the event. All the farmers who gave their lands for the capital will be specially invited and the first farmer who gave his land will be honoured by the Prime Minister himself.
