Cross Allotted MPs allowed to spend for native!

It is known that the AP Reorganization Act alloted hardcore protagonists of Telangana like K. Kesava Rao (TRS), M.A. Khan (Congress) and T. Devender Goud (TD) to Andhra Pradesh along with Renuka Choudhry (Congress) while supporters of Samaikhya Andhra like MP Dr K.V. P. Ramachandra Rao (Congress) and C.M. Ramesh (TD) were allotted to Telangana after the bifurcation. However they are only allowed to spend their 5 Crore per annum MPLADS funds to the allotted state after the division.

The MPs have been battling for a long time to allow them to spend their MPLADS to their native states as they do not want to spend their funds for other states. They did not even choose district in the allotted State for release of MPLADs.

Earlier the Center turned down their request (spending to other state) citing that such provision will have to be brought by bringing in an amendment to AP Reorganization Act. But we do not know what happened the Centre finally decided to allow them to recommend developmental works in the state/districts of their choice. The formalities for such changes will be completed in next mont.
