At present, morphed and derogatory posts are doing rounds against CM Chandrababu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on social media in Andhra Pradesh. Responding to people’s complaints and worry, the Vijayawada Cyber Crime police have taken strict measures to curb such activities.
The police found that offensive and misleading content is being spread regarding people in top positions. Based on this, police filed a case on a person spreading such content on social media.
It has been found that one Rajasekhara Rao has been spreading such offensive content. The cyber crime police filed the case on the person and an investigation is on. The officers warned that misleading people with wrong content and posting offensive pictures of top leaders means stringent measures. They advised that social media must be used responsibly.
The cyber police said that they were constantly monitoring content on social media. If the photos of prominent personalities are edited and posted on social media, they will be subject to legal action, the cyber police said.
