
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made strong comments today regarding the recent sexual assault cases occurring in the state.
He urged Home Minister Anita and the police department to take swift action against criminals to prevent such incidents in the future. He stated that if things don’t change, he might have to take on the Home Ministry as well. “If I take the Home Ministry, things would be very different,” Pawan declared.

These comments quickly went viral across the internet. Many people felt that what has to be spoken within cabinet meetings has been spoken in public by Pawan Kalyan.
Meanwhile, MA&UD Minister Narayana responded to Pawan Kalyan’s statements. He said there is no need to take Pawan Kalyan’s statements negatively. He stressed that either the Chief Minister or Deputy Chief Minister has the right to criticize any minister if their department is not functioning properly. He said that Pawan’s comments would make the concerned department alert.

He stated, “If any department is not working properly, the CM or Deputy CM has the right to comment so that the department will become alert.”
Narayana stated that police action might have been delayed due to certain circumstances and expressed hope that Pawan’s statements would make the police act swiftly.

He dismissed Pawan’s comments as controversial and asserted that there is no disturbance within the NDA parties. He concluded that CM Chandrababu Naidu would coordinate everyone effectively and there was no chance of a strained relationship within the NDA government.
