The Delhi Police have issued a summons to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over an edited video of Home Minister Amit Shah.
Revanth Reddy has been summoned to appear before Delhi Police’s IFSO unit (Cyber Unit) on 1st May to join the investigation.
He has been asked to appear with his mobile phone allegedly used for posting the fake video on X (formerly Twitter)
Home Minister Amit Shah is advocating the cancelation of Muslim Reservations if voted to power. The video is edited in a way that the BJP will cancel the reservations of the SC, ST, and OBCs if voted to power.
This has become a big issue as Congress is claiming that Reservations abolition is the reason why the BJP is aiming for over 400 seats.
For the first time since 2014, the BJP is on a backfoot and is trying to explain or condemn something.
Earlier, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police booked a Case on this issue after a BJP leader filed a complaint. The case was booked under Sections – U/Sec 469, 505(1) C IPC.
Telangana BJP unit also filed a complaint to the Cyber Crime police station for fabricating and Morphing the speech of Amit Shah on TPCC President Revanth Reddy.
