Democracy Shamed In MLC Elections, EC Unmoved

The MLC elections in Andhra Pradesh once again exposed the hollowness of Democracy and conducting of elections. Telugu Desam Party has exposed massive irregularities in the elections in places like Kadapa, Tirupati, and Ongole.

Voters who did not even complete the Tenth standard were voting in the Graduates Election. People from other areas are being brought in buses and vehicles to vote in the areas where the elections are happening.

These irregularities are shown on Live TV but EC is closing its eyes as if nothing happened.

Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to the Election Commission and also spoke to the SPs and Collectors of the Kadapa and Tirupati districts.

But all these proved to be of no use as no action is taken on these complaints until now.

Similar scenes have been repeated in the by-elections previously but nothing happened.

“Jagan is making a mockery of the democracy and all systems in the country. It appears like he has support from all quarters to win elections by hook or crook. This is a mockery of Democracy and EC is doing nothing about it,” TDP Spokesperson GV Reddy said in a TV debate.
