Did Aswini Dutt and Chandrababu Do Real-Estate Business?

Senior Producer Aswini Dutt and Actor Krishnam Raju approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court alleging a breach of contract by the Andhra Pradesh Government. Aswini Dutt has given 39 acres and Krishnam Raju 31 acres for Gannavaram Airport Expansion.

Since the Government could not afford the huge land acquisition cost, it has offered a Land Pooling option for which lands were given in Amaravati in lieu of their lands in Gannavaram. Both of them allege that Capital change is detrimental to their interests and so, they should be compensated according to the 2013 Land Acquisition Act.

YSR Congress Supporters in Social Media are criticizing Aswini Dutt for doing Real-Estate Business. But the fact is that there is nothing illegal in this deal and Dutt just is demanding his rightful share. Some people are asking if it is right to make the Government responsible for a closed deal and it can not guarantee a closed deal against real-estate fluctuations.

However, this argument is factually incorrect. “Unlike Land Acquisition, Land Pooling is based on the Development Promises made by the Government. They have given land only basing on the Government promises to develop Amaravati as a World-Class City,” Experts say.

Land Pooling is the best remedy to the draconian Land Acquisition but the experiment seems to be dying a painful death. Interestingly, the social media attack is only confined to Aswini Dutt but not on Krishnam Raju because he does not fit into the agenda of the same caste as Chandrababu Naidu. Moreover he is from BJP.
