After losing Assembly elections, BRS chief KCR had a fall and underwent hip surgery. One leader who flew down personally to visit and comfort him was YS Jagan.
Jagan and KCR are not contemporaries when it comes to age, but they are political contemporaries. They were in power at the same time between 2019 and 2023.

In an interview to TV5 Murthy, BRS working president KTR spoke about various leaders and said that though he sees himself as the next generation politician, he learnt a lot by observing the likes of Chandrababu, Rajasekhar Reddy and his father KCR.
When Murthy, the anchor of the show, brought up the topic of KCR helping Jagan from Hyderabad, KTR quickly shrugged it off saying there was no truth in it.

Murthy said there was talk that KCR helped Jagan by coercing TDP members who had properties in Hyderabad to join/ help YSRCP during that time. It is also true that Jagan came to Hyderabad and had Paradise biryani with KCR while KCR ate royyala pulusu (prawn pulusu) at Roja’s house when he was in Andhra, Murthy said.
However, KTR maintained that there was no iota of truth in claims that KCR supported Jagan. He went on to compare his party with TDP and listed out what he thought were similarities.

Looks like the next gen politician does not want to talk of his father’s proximity to a party that appears to have a bleak future in Andhra Pradesh.
