The discussion on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill – 2013 began a short while ago. After the Lok Sabha resumed business at 12 PM, Speaker Meira Kumar dismissed the No Confidence Motion moved by Congress MP Harsha Kumar as the house is not in order. Later on, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde started the discussion on Telangana Bill but the Speaker adjourned the house for 30 minutes.
Earlier in the day, BJP had proposed 38 amendments to the bill. After taking the recommendations of various parties, a total of 64 amendments are added to the bill by the Home Ministry. These amendments do not include Rayala Telangana and making Hyderabad a Union Territory.
