We have seen numerous incidents in the recent past which proved that BJP led central government is not so serious about Polavaram Project which is called the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. The center is already killing the project with sparse allocations and now the party’s Odisha wing is fanning the protests against the project there.

Odia BJP leader and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan himself announced that the party’s Odisha wing will continue to oppose the project. He declared that Odisha unit of the BJP would continue to oppose the project at all possible platforms.
This backlash from Odisha BJP will trouble the project further as we already know the state Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to the Prime Minister opposing the project. He even termed the project as not eligible to be a National Project. All these politics may push the project to more troubles.
