CM Resigned, New CM On The Way!

There have been multiple discussions about the possibility of Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah stepping down from his position. This topic has been in the news for the last few months.

And finally, the latest news is that Siddaramaiah has decided stepped down as the chief minister of Karnataka and he is making way for DK Shivakumar, who is going to be the new CM. The resignation letter will be submitted to the government at around 3 PM today, and it will present the chance for the appointment of new CM.

Initially, after Congress won the assembly election, there were reports that Sivakumar is the favourite to be appointed as the chief minister, but this did not happen. Congress decided to stick with senior leader, Siddaramaiah despite reluctance from Siva’s group.

Apparently, there was this arrangement in place where Sivakumar would be appointed as the new CM in around three years time, and that is what is happening now.

The new CM has a much more dynamic and aggressive personality, and he is known for troubleshooting many Congress issues in South Indian states. He has a considerable grip in Telangana politics as well.

It is going to be a matter of time before Sivakumar takes charge as the new chief minister of Karnataka and he is going to face a significant challenge in replacing a senior like Siddaramaiah.
