The total haul, valued at Rs 12 crore in the international market, led to the woman’s arrest. She now faces charges for smuggling narcotics into India, highlighting ongoing efforts by authorities to curb illegal drug circulation.

This significant seizure underscores Hyderabad’s high demand for drugs. The Narcotics department frequently targets international gangs, often involving Nigerian nationals. Officials report that new smuggling routes are being used to bring drugs into the city.

The situation also reflects rising drug consumption among the city’s youth. Despite awareness campaigns by the Narcotics department, the problem persists, prompting continued vigilance and stricter enforcement measures to prevent drug abuse.
