A shocking case has emerged in Hyderabad. Doctors from a leading Multi-Speciality Hospital in Karkhana, Hyderabad, have been accused of giving false breast cancer reports to a woman.
The woman, Basireddy Sunitha, shared that she had a harmless lump in her left breast in 2022. But in 2024, the hospital conducted a biopsy on her right breast without her consent.
The reports were also filled with mistakes. Her age was wrongly noted as 74 instead of 54, and an incorrect cancer history was added. Experts later found that the biopsy slides and tissue blocks did not match.
Due to this, Sunitha spent nearly ₹1 lakh and suffered stress and pain. She has now filed a police complaint against the doctors involved.
Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is underway. This incident highlights the seriousness of medical fraud. Patients place their lives in the hands of doctors, so accountability and honesty in hospitals are essential.
