Dual Headaches for Roja

A person named Rayudu from Roja’s Nagari constituency filed a petition in Hyderabad high court alleging that she did not disclose the income right in the affidavit she filed during 2014 elections. The petitioner demanded disqualification of Roja as MLA. The high court admitted his petition.

Roja approached Supreme Court saying that high court’s ruling in admitting the case is illegal. However Supreme Court did not buy her argument and asked her to approach the high court with her objections. The court directed the high court to deal the petitioner and Roja’s objection at a time.

The Apex court also directed the high court to complete the court hearing by the end of the year. This case will irk Roja who is already facing a one year suspension from Andhra Pradesh Assembly for her misbehaviour. She is already fighting the suspension case in courts.
