Enforcement Directorate will be investigating 29 film celebrities and companies regarding promoting betting apps. The names include names like Vijay Devarakonda, Rana, Sreemukhi, Nidhhi Agerwal, Manchu Lakshmi, Prakash Raj and others.
Their names are listed in the FIR filed in the case. Cine celebrities, YouTubers and influencers will be investigated under PMLA. The Telangana police have already filed cases on television actors, social media influencers, anchors and film personalities.
Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi, Vijay Devarakonda, Praneetha, Ananya Nagella, Nidhhi Agerwal, YSRCP representative Shyamala, television actors, influencers Sreemukhi, Varshini Soundarajan, Siri Hanumanthu, Vasanti Krishnan, Shobha Shetty, Amrita Chowdhary, Nayani Pavani, Neha Pathan, Pandey, Padmavathi, Irfan Khan, Vishnupriya, Bhayya Sunny Yadav, Harshasai, Tasty Teja, Bandaru Supreeta, Ritu Chowdhary and names of others are included in the FIR.
Based on the FIR, the ED will be conducting an inquiry. There are complaints that the actors, influencers and social media influencers promoted the apps asking gullible audience to download illegal betting apps.
For that they took huge commissions and remuneration, many complained. The Hyderabad, Cyberabad police have mentioned in the FIR that many lost lives due to the apps and many families were financially devastated.
