First Case of Coronavirus Community-Spreading in India?

Tamil Nadu has registered its second Coronaviruscase last night. The patient hails from New Delhi, is in isolation and stable under the observation of the expert team treating Covid-19. The 20-year-old is believed to have traveled from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi and returned to Chennai on March 12th.

He went to the Tamil Nadu Government Hospital on March 16 and was tested positive. The patient has no travel history to affected countries and that indicates that he may have contracted it someone. If that is the case, it is the first case of community-spreading in India.

Things will certainly go bad to worse if this is not restricted somehow. Meanwhile, the first patient of Tamil Nadu with travel history to Oman has recovered and is expected to be discharged soon. The Coronavirus cases have crossed 150 in India.

Maharashtra has got the highest number of cases followed by Kerala and Karnataka. There were three deaths so far in the country.
