First Case On Kodali Nani

Former minister and YSRCP leader Kodali Nani has landed in legal trouble. A case has been registered against him in Visakhapatnam following a complaint filed by Andhra University law student Satyala Anjana Priya.

The complaint centred around the language Nani allegedly used in press releases and assembly meetings over the five-year tenure of the YSRCP.

Anjana Priya pointed out that Kodali Nani made offensive and abusive remarks aimed at TDP leader and current Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and his son, Minister Nara Lokesh, that she claimed were demeaning and damaging to their personal and family reputations.

Anjana Priya expressed that, as a woman and a law student, she found the remarks deeply hurtful and believed they had a detrimental impact on societal values. The language was alleged to have contributed to body shaming and baseless allegations, creating an environment that could promote disrespect and incite harmful behaviour.

The police officials immediately registered an FIR against Kodali Nani. Anjana Priya expressed her gratitude for the police’s action, which she felt sent a strong message about maintaining respect and preventing the use of abusive language on public platforms.
