BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has landed in a legal soup as the ACB named him as A1 in the alleged Formula E scam. IAS officer Aravind Kumar and former HMDA Chief Engineer B.L.N. Reddy have been named as A2 and A3 in the case.
It is widely rumoured that the ACB may arrest K.T.R. anytime soon. High police security was deployed at Telangana Bhavan this morning, raising speculations about the arrest.
Meanwhile, K.T.R. filed a quash petition in the High Court. He filed a lunch motion petition requesting the court to quash the case filed by the ACB.
His petition is expected to be presented before Justice Sravan Kumar’s bench at 2:15 PM today.
MAUD Principal Secretary Dana Kishore filed a case against K.T.R., alleging that illegal transactions were made through HMDA officials to the Formula E organizers without the required permissions.
Allegations suggest that the then MAUD Secretary, Aravind Kumar, approved these transactions under the instructions of K.T. Rama Rao, which the government claims is a blatant violation of financial regulations.
Meanwhile, K.T.R. said that the Congress government doesn’t know in which case he should be arrested. He wondered whether someone is misleading CM Revanth Reddy or if Revanth Reddy was misleading himself.
