Telangana’s revolutionary singer Gaddar sadly passed away recently and this has been a moving incident in Telangana political landscape. Now, the stage is apparently being prepared for the political debut of Gaddar’s son, Suryam.
Apparently, Congress is proposing to field Suryam from Gajwel constituency. If that is the case, then this will be in direct competition with KCR who is also contesting from this constituency.
The idea is to field Suryam as the candidate for united opposition, strengthened by all opposition parties. This could be a plan to convert all the anti incumbency votes without any splits.
Then there’s the obvious Gaddar sympathy factor which could help Suryam if he does decide to contest from here.
This is an elaborate plan to challenge KCR in his stronghold of Gajwel and it has to be seen if this will actually materialize, and then, challenge KCR in the constituency.
Meanwhile, KCR is preparing the ground for his dual candidacy in Gajwel and Kamareddy this year. This is the first time he is contesting in two assembly constituencies.
