Govt Employees to Come in Support of RTC Strike?

TSRTC JAC held an all-party meeting a little while ago about the future course of action after the Telangana Government announced the sacking of 48,660 employees for taking part in the Strike. All the sections that attended the meeting threatened the government about Telangana Bandh in case the government does not backstep.

“Just like RTC employees, we too have our share of demands. We are demanding to implement the PRC. If the Government is able to arm-twist the RTC employees with the threats of sacking them, they can do that once again with us as well. If the government wins, it will be a precedent to blackmail employees and prevent protests,” the government employees opine.

So, the government officials and employees are also thinking of extending support to the RTC employees. Rumors are that some departments are keen on announcing ‘Pen Down’ from their duties in support of the RTC employees. Meanwhile, the government has stopped paying the salaries of the agitating employees.
