GV Reddy Episode has shaken the Telugu Desam Party’s Ecosystem. TDP Cadre has revolted against their leadership for letting GV Reddy go.
The opinion largely is that both sides have reacted in haste. GV Reddy should not have gone to the media about the issues while the TDP Leadership should not have accepted his resignation given his services in the Opposition.

However, it sent a positive message about the party cadre.
It was amazing to see the cadre of a party branded as a Kamma Party agitated for a Reddy leader who had just joined the party three and a half years ago indicating that only party interests matter and nothing else.

Meanwhile, there are rumors in the Political Corridors that TDP leadership has sent a few people to cajole GV Reddy and bring him back to the party.
They say he will continue to be the party’s National Spokesperson but will not get any nominated post now.

The reports say that GV Reddy may be nominated to the Council in the next trench (the one after the March trench).
It will be a big surprise if those in power give up on their ego so easily and give such importance to a leader who left the party without a second thought.
The party may even think that it will send a wrong message to other leaders who may resort to blackmailing the party.
If GV is really given an MLC, TDP can be easily the most progressive Party in the country today.
Sometimes it is good to step back and listen to your cadre. After all, losing to a cadre should not be a matter of shame for a party.
Having such a vibrant cadre itself is a sign of a party’s progress.
GV Reddy has Good Subject Knowledge. It will be a good move to use him in the Council where the Opposition has a majority now.
In fact, it is a good idea to use him in the council rather than confining him to a Corporation.
If at all this episode happens, GV Reddy should also rethink over his political strategies. It is not like you get a second chance in politics. If he applies a bit of patience, he will definitely have a bright political future.
