While the entire country is facing the challenge of mindless Female Infanticide, a physically handicapped man, K.Vijay is trekking all the way to Tirupati for being blessed with a girl child. Vijay is a farmer belonging to Paitaveta village of Rayadurgam taluk in Anantapur.
He prayed god for a girl child and vowed to undertake a walkathon to the sacred town if blessed with a girl child. His wife Lakshmi delivered a female child on January 5th. Vijay along with his friend trekked the grueling Alipiri footpath crossing the steep steps and hilly terrains on Friday evening.
Vijay is already a father of a two year old son. The dotting father could be a perfect brand ambassador for Narendra Modi’s ‘Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao’ scheme launched a couple of weeks back.
