“He Might Be Hero In Films But…”: DGP On Allu Arjun

The discussion about the Sandhya Theatre stampede issue in the assembly the other day has put Allu Arjun in trouble once again. CM Revanth Reddy, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi blamed Allu Arjun for the stampede and labelled him the reason behind the death of a woman.

Meanwhile, Telangana DGP Jithender responded to this issue today. He said Allu Arjun might be a hero on screen, but as a citizen, one should be responsible and act according to the situation.

He said that the stampede and the death were unfortunate incidents and asserted that they are taking legal action against Allu Arjun while affirming that the police department has nothing personal against him.

He said, “We are not against Allu Arjun. At the same time, everyone should be responsible towards the citizens of the state. They should understand that the safety and security of citizens should be of utmost importance to everyone.”

“They might be heroes in films, but they should also understand the problems that happen on the ground. The promotions of films are not as important as the safety of citizens. Something wrong has happened, and we all should understand that such incidents are not good for the security of people,” he added.
