Hero’s Welcome to Sindhu

PV Sindhu who brought the laurels to the entire country winning a Silver Medal in Rio Olympics has got a Hero’s Welcome in Hyderabad today. Sindhu and her coach, Gopichand reached Shamshabad Airport this morning and were welcomed by Ministers of both the Telugu States and the state government officials.

Sindhu was taken to the city in a procession on an Open Top Jeep. 1000s of fans lined up all along the way greeting and cheering for the Champion. Fans from other states have also come to Hyderabad to welcome her. The crowd is larger than expected and so the rally is moving at a slow pace and the rally is behind the schedule already.

The Procession will go on till Gachibowli Stadium where Telangana government will be felicitating her. On the other side, Andhra Pradesh government invited Sindhu for the Harathi of Krishna Pushkaralu tomorrow in Vijayawada. The state government will be felicitating the shuttler on the bank of Krishna if she makes it.
