Minister TG Bharat

During his tenure as the Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came up with the foolish idea of three capitals to Andhra Pradesh. He said Kurnool would be the judicial capital while Amaravati and Visakhapatnam would be the legislative and executive capital cities.

Apart from making statements, he did nothing during YCP’s regime. He halted all work on the Amaravati Capital City, leaving it in ruins. After announcing Kurnool as the judicial capital, he didn’t even lay a brick for the construction of the High Court.

On the other side, when the NDA came into power, CM Chandrababu Naidu affirmed that Amaravati would be the sole capital city of the state and restarted the construction work. He also promised to set up a High Court bench in Kurnool very soon.

Today, Minister of Industries and Commerce, TG Bharat said that the government is currently looking for suitable land to set up the High Court bench and assured to finish the process soon.

Bharat stated that while YCP fooled people by promising to make Kurnool the judicial capital, the current government is expediting the process of setting up the High Court bench.

He said that TDP promised to set up the High Court bench in Kurnool during the election campaign, much before announcing it recently in the assembly. He stated that while the permanent building’s construction may take a year and a half, a temporary bench establishment will be done in six months.
