The court opined that strike in both the states is illegal as RTC comes under essential services and strikes are banned in RTC in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. As many as 1.20 Lakh employees are participating in this strike will now have to obey the court and join the services since disobeying court orders will be the contempt.
The court posted the further hearing in this case to 12th of this month. RTC strike from the last few days took about 20000 buses off the road and paralyzed the life in both the states. The employees are on strike demanding 43% fitment on par with government employees. But the debt ridden corporation came forward with only 27% fitment which is the highest in RTC history. But still the employees are not satisfied.
