High Security Plan for Hyderabad Metro!

Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissionerates, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMR) and the L&T Metrorail together had finalized the security plan of the upcoming Hyderabad Metro. They are of the primary opinion that the metro should have a security cover equal to that of an airport. The security plan will include round the clock monitoring with CCTVs, sensors and alarms for monitoring of unmanned areas, frisking of passengers, baggage scanning machines, installation of intrusion detection systems, onboard surveillance through video recording, anti-sabotage checking measures will be put in place to ensure the 100% safety of the project and the passengers.

Hyderabad is one of the hit list cities for terrorists. There are several instances of Terrorist attacks here in the past. The project may be an easy target with the amount of passengers boarding the metro trains every day. So, fool proof security is in place for the project. It may be recalled that the project which started in 2012 is expected to complete the first 8-km stretch by April, 2015 while the entire project is expected to be completed in 2 years thereafter.
