The government of Andhra Pradesh has been emphasising on drone surveillance culture a lot. The Andhra Pradesh Police department is equipped with surveillance drones in order to carry out general surveillance as these devices can reach remote locations in minutes.
Along with that, there is this constant emphasis from chief Chandrababu to incorporate drones in multiple areas, including commodity delivery and farming logistics.
But for now, the topic of drones is in the news for a negative reason briefly in Andhra Pradesh, as there was a freakish drone accident that happened in Tirupati today.
This incident involves home minister Anita, who is in Tirupati to take part in the Amaravati championship event. This was precisely when a drone was flown in the air on an official program.
However, something interesting happened as this drone charging in the air and came down rapidly, striking home minister Anita. Reportedly, she sustained a few minor injuries and was immediately rushed for medical care.
However, there is nothing to be worried about as she is doing perfectly fine, and the nature of injuries are also minimal. The security authorities have started to investigate the incident and more details will be established in the due course.
