How BJP Can Win A Few Seats In AP?

It is official that the BJP will be a part of the TDP and Janasena alliance. It is also confirmed that the BJP will contest from six assembly seats and six Parliament seats in Andhra Pradesh.

The numbers also indicate the BJP is serious about the Parliament seats and does not have much hope about the Assembly seats. Usually, there is no chance for BJP to win a single seat but here it stands a chance in six seats.

Probably, this is an attempt to try and touch that 400-seat number.

But then, is it easy for BJP to win a few seats in Andhra Pradesh?

It is clear that the BJP is banking on the vote transfer from TDP and Janasena to win. But then, Vote Transfer is not a Mechanical Process, it is an emotional process.

In alliance politics, it is not like 2+2=4. BJP lacks confidence in TDP and BJP cadres.

For close to four years and ten months, BJP has helped YSR Congress in all possible ways from giving loans through illegal means to helping Jagan in cases.

BJP should take some confidence-building measures (CBMs) to win the votes of the TDP and BJP.

The first thing they should do is to crack the officials who will manipulate the entire electioneering in favor of the YSR Congress. The second step would be to totally eliminate the role of Volunteers in the elections.

Even though it is too late, things like the movement in Jagan’s cases and arrests in Viveka’s Murder Case will get immediate attention.

Stopping Illegal Loans can also stop Jagan’s last-minute freebies. But then, it will not have much impact on Jagan since we are already into elections.

The problem is that the time is too short and the track record of the BJP in ditching their allies will come in the way. But then, if the BJP has to win a few seats, they should make an attempt that should convince people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the Public meeting of TDP and Janasena on the 17th of this month. Modi’s speech will be keenly observed to ascertain BJP.

Whatever BJP should do must become the Prime Time Debates and big talking point in the people and political circles. The more the noise the more the confidence people will get.
