
A huge fire broke out in NIMS on Saturday evening. The mishap happened in the fifth floor emergency ward, in the auditorium section.
As the fire was big, the entire building was engulfed with thick smoke. The fire engines rushed to the location and tried to stop the fire from spreading.

As per primary reports, it was said that the accident occured due to short circuit. The hospital staff said that the electrical panels were in the fifth floor.
The short circuit happened in the panels next to the lift due to overheating, they said. Efforts were on to transfer the patients from the fifth floor to other wards. Fortunately, there was no one in the auditorium at the time.

It is summer time and short circuits happen due to overload on the systems. Only a few days ago, fire broke out at Park Hyatt hotel.
Incidentally, in both cases, no casualties have been reported. It is important to be vigilant and do proper checks regularly.
