HYDRAA, Revenue, NDRF, NSDF, and GHMC teams are working together on rescue and relief. For the first time in the city, drones are being used to drop food, water, and essentials in flooded zones.
HYDRAA commissioner Ranganathan inspected the affected areas. With many access routes cut off, drone deliveries proved crucial in reaching stranded residents quickly.
The crisis began after water was released from Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar into the Musi following heavy rains. Low-lying areas near the river were flooded as a result. The government’s use of drones alongside manpower has eased relief efforts.
