Hyd Police Warns: No Sharing Sensitive Content

The cyber crime police of Hyderabad has issued a warning to stop sharing of sensitive content on social media. They took serious note of some individuals and YouTube channels circulating content regarding a recent incident in Monda Market area.

The officials say the content is communally sensitive and has the potential of inciting communal violence and enmity between religious groups.

The police say the tone of the content is deliberate and intends to spread panic in public, disturb peace and disrupt communal harmony in Hyderabad. They warn that such content could result in law & order issues and escalate communal tensions.

The cyber police have already registered a case under sections 196 and 353(2) under BNS. The case is now being investigated.

The police have also given guidelines to the public asking them not to post communally sensitive or provocative content on social media platforms.

The police warned major media and YouTube channels not to telecast or publish content that could harm the sentiments of people and endanger communal harmony & peace in the state.

The police have also said that strict legal action would be taken against those who spread such content. Police have asked public for cooperation and restraint.
