It was at the audio launch function of the film I that the director proclaimed himself to be a big fan of SS Rajamouli. Shankar said that he became a fan of Rajamouli after watching Magadheera and it was cemented further with Eega. In conclusion he said that he was waiting for the release of the director’s next Baahubali as a big fan of him.

Earlier in the function Rajamouli had high words of praise for the director when he said that even today after all the years Shankar’s visuals still mesmerizes him and makes his team discuss them as ardent students. The respect and bonhomie exhibited between these two star directors was seen to be believed.
