Intelligence Reports: Life Threat for KCR?

KCR-life-threatTelangana government is suspecting retaliatory strike from SIMI in the wake of recent encounter of Terrorist Vikaruddin and as a result Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s security has been scaled up significantly. The security arrangements at TRS plenary earlier this week surprised every one. Telangana Police have arranged bullet proof enclosure at the dais and jammers were also put.

Security Cover was increased around the venue and all the Police deployed were given photographs, reportedly of missing SIMI activists and wanted Maoists. The close range security cover for the CM is also beefed up. Only the Ministers and Key Leaders were allowed to go near the Chief Minister. It is said that there are clear warnings by Central Intelligence agencies about possible retaliatory attacks either by SIMI or Indian Mujahideen (IM) sympathisers.

However Telangana Police tried to play it down by dismissing it as “routine security arrangements”. On the other side, Police are still yet to crack the case of two slain SIMI activists in Janakipuram. It is clear that they are scouting for a safe location in Hyderabad but Police could not dig in to the their motives or plans for taking shelter in the city.
