Investments Ranking: AP At 13Th Rank

According to a report by the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Andhra Pradesh is ranked at the bottom of the table in attracting Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) equity. The state is ranked thirteenth among all the states in the country.

This report pertains to the state-wise foreign investment from October 2019 to June 2021. That is precisely the numbers ever since the new government has come to Andhra Pradesh. The state used to be always in the Top-4 in the previous regime. The neighboring Telangana is not anything better but still better than Andhra Pradesh with the eighth rank.

To explain what AP has been missing, neighboring Karnataka which is ranked third in the list has attracted FDIs worth 1,49,715.38 Crore Rupees.

The other neighboring state, Tamil Nadu is at Rank five with 30,078.87 Crore Rupees.
