Iranian Airlines crashed in Tehran

Looks like this year is going to notoriously famous for Plane accidents. We have already seen two Malaysian Airlines going down this year and now here is one more flight accident. More than 40 people, including several children, died when a small passengers plane crashed near the Iranian capital Tehran. The plane went down in a residential area close to Mehrabad airport on Sunday morning for reasons yet to be known.

Iran has a very poor track record in maintaining airlines. Many Iranian planes are ageing aircrafts fitted with unofficial spare parts.Over the past 25 years, there have been more than 200 accidents involving Iranian planes in which more than 2,000 deaths occured. This fight is carrying 40 passengers and 8 crew. The rescue operations are currently on.
