Did Jagan ask that elections be held in AP along with five states including Telangana where assembly elections will be held in November-December this year? BJP sources, national media and pro-Jagan channels are saying ‘yes’ to these questions.
CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, who arrived in Delhi on Wednesday, went to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s house around 2.30 pm and held discussions for about 45 minutes. After that he went to the Prime Minister’s residence around 4.30 pm. Had discussions with Modi for more than an hour.
It is learned that Jagan has asked Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah to go for early elections in Andhra Pradesh and to hold elections in AP along with assembly elections in Telangana and other 5 states in November or December. Akshita Nandagopal, deputy editor of ‘India Today’, made a tweet after Jagan’s meeting with both of them.
It is remarkable that even the pro-Jagan media is ready for Early Elections with breakings and discussions. BJP sources claimed that Jagan has been demanding to allow Early Elections for years. After discussions with Modi and Shah, Jagan met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the evening.
It is reported that the CM has asked for more funds to be given to Polavaram in order to win the elections and to give ample funds to pay the dues to the contractors.
