Today, the Kaleshwaram issue is on every politician’s mind in Telangana. With KCR, Harish Rao and Eatala being questioned by the one-man commission of PC Ghose, many angles are being discussed in media.

To make the matters worse for BRS, present Cabinet Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has claimed that Kaleshwaram was never discussed during the Cabinet meetings at that time. It has to be recollected that Tummala was part of KCR’s Cabinet.
However, BRS has maintained that the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project became a reality after Cabinet’s approval.

Speaking to a popular television channel, ex BRS leader and present BJP MP Eatala shared that the Cabinet would meet every 15 days during KCR’s term.
Eatala also said that KCR insisted on ministers taking Cabinet approval even for small things. Every development was approved by the Cabinet. Leaders like Tummala, Kadiyam Srihari, Jupally Krishna Rao were also present at that time.

I don’t want to go into technicalities of when the Cabinet approvals were taken, but Cabinet approvals were taken for everything, said Eatala in the latest interview.
Now, questions are being raised about the credibility of comments by Eatala as he is one of the accused in the Kaleshwaram case. Political analysts feel Eatala is trying to bail himself out by pushing the blame on to the then Cabinet.
