Former Minister Gudivada Amarnath called for a Pressmeet and condemned the name change.

He lifted out various projects and said YSR name is being removed so to erase his legacy. Among the name changed projects, Gudivada Amar also includes the Health University.

He claims that no one can remove YSR from the hearts of the people.

Health University was named after NTR who was the founder and chairman of the university that was founded in 1986.

The institution was the brainchild of NTR who had launched it through a piece of legislation – AP University of Health Sciences Act, 1986. This was the first health university in India

During Jagan’s regime, the University was renamed YSR after Jagan felt his father deserved it because of his service to the Health sector of the state.

Back then, when questioned about the name change, drunk on power, YSR Congress leaders questioned if NT Ramarao was a doctor and why his name for the Health University.

On the same lines, is YSR a Cricket to name a Stadium after him?

This dirty name-change politics started during Jagan’s regime.

Forget the names of Political Rivals, Jagan even changed the names of National Leaders like Ambedkar and Abdul Kalam.

Abdul Kalam’s name for View Point in Rushikonda Beach was renamed after YSR. The CBN Government recently restored Kalam’s name.

Jagan replaced Ambedkar’s name with his name for the scheme that financially assists students hailing from poor social and economic backgrounds by reimbursing their total fees. The Government rolled it back recently.

The best part of this Government is that it does not name the schemes after Chandrababu Naidu after changing the names.

All the schemes are given Generic names or named after some Great Leaders.

There is no one to listen to YSR Congress leaders’ hue and cry on this issue after what they have done in the last five years.
