Andhra Pradesh and Telangana politics witnessed a significant changeover when the previous YCP and BRS governments got uprooted respectively. Since then, both these parties have been struggling for existence with the study departure of senior leaders and lack of ground level leadership.
However, there is this one single strategy that is being applied by both KTR and Jagan in their respective states and there’s a lot of uncanny resemblance with the same.
In Andhra Pradesh, why is Jagan has been repeatedly carrying the notion that he will be returning to power in 2029 and promising great things in Jagan 2.0.
A similar assumption is being made by KTR in Telangana as he has also started to repeatedly say KCR is returning as the chief minister and Telangana will get back on track shortly after.
As for YCP, the party has been steadily losing its fundamental leaders and also Rajya Sabha MPs regularly. Jagan himself is completely detached with the working leadership as he rarely comes to the state and confines these visits to namesake meeting with a few leaders and then leaves.
BRS is not in a better position either. The significant blow in the MP elections where the party did not win a single seat is still fresh in the memory. Add to that KCR’s own daughter, Kavita is likely to deal a lot of damage to the party once she launches her own political career and hits back at her old party.
While both Jagan and KTR might be confidently speaking about returning to the ground reality is turning out to be the opposite and they have a big challenge at hand in dealing with the same.
