Jagan One Step Ahead Of Tollywood Biggies

Andhra Pradesh Government has brought in an amendment to the Cinematography Act which mandates selling of tickets at Government rates and only four shows per day. This will be a big blow to the big-budget films and also the industry as a whole. Industry is confused about how to handle this issue.

Geetha Arts is trying to be in the Good Books of The Government by donating to Rayalaseema Flood Relief fund. That indicates that industry folks are in no mood to lock horns with the Government in the near future. We may see more production houses join Geetha Arts in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Government has started its propaganda against the industry. Producer and YSR Congress leader Ambica Krishna has come before media and appreciated this move of the Government. More YSR Congress leaders in the industry will do the same in the next few days.

With industry biggies being silent and only these supporters who do not make movies will get to talk and the Government’s version will become true and mainstream. There will be no public support to the cause of the industry. So, this silence may be costly for the industry in the coming days.
