YSR Congress President and Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made his online debut on Wednesday. He joined the microblogging site, Twitter. The party’s press release said the young leader wants to be more closer to people through Twitter medium. YS Jagan can be reached through the handle @ysjagan. His first tweet read “@Ysrcp follow @ysjagan”.
Twitter is widely used by the Politicians as a platform to reach people. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi effectively used the social media to gain immense following in the youth. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also an active Twitter user even before coming to the power. Both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments have good presence in Social media i.e., on Facebook and Twitter.
Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan, BJP President Kishan Reddy, Lok Satta Presiden Jaya Prakash Narayan, Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao, Nizamabad MP Kavitha and Guntur MP, Jayadev Galla are other active Telugu politicians on Twitter. Jagan seem to have realized its importance lately.
