
“The Government is doing nothing in persuading to fund the Polavaram Project completely. Instead of trying to play politics by throwing the blame on TDP. NITI Aayog recommended the State Government to execute Polavaram. We only agreed to fund the Power Project of Polavaram,” Naidu said.
“Back then, the Center agreed to complete the irrigation project including R&R. Technical Advisory Committee of the Union Government agreed for the estimates of 55,000 Crore. Center confirmed the same in the Parliament,” he added.
Naidu called the people to respond to the injustice being meted to Andhra Pradesh with respect to Polavaram Project. Meanwhile, a crucial meeting of the Polavaram Project Authority (PPA) will take place tomorrow which will give clarity about the Center’s thoughts on this controversy.
