Chandra Babu Naidu and his Telugu Desam Party is going great guns these days. Surveys predict that the party is gaining immensely in Seemandhra region and its fortunes can further appreciate if they announce a merger with BJP in coming days. On the other side, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress even though after sacrificing its interests in Telangana region is not able to make a proper mark on Seemandhra and his party is only decimating further.
Sensing trouble from TDP-BJP alliance, he directly offered unconditional post poll support to BJP if they support Telangana process. Even though, Jagan is voicing united Andhra slogan, he never wants the state to be united as his party has no base in Telangana region. So, he wants to bifurcate the state so that he stands a chance in Seemandhra region.
He reportedly confidently said he will be bagging 25 MP seats and this offer tempted BJP a bit. Political observers say this will be real checkmate to TDP if Jagan manages to spoil the relationship between TDP and BJP. We will have to see if BJP opts for the old friend or this new lover.
