Concerns have been raised about the age and condition of the helicopter used by CM Jagan, prompting a decision to replace it with two new helicopters.

The Bell helicopter currently in use has been in service since 2010. The Andhra Pradesh Aviation Corporation has recommended the immediate replacement of the helicopter.

In response to the security concerns and recommendations, it has been decided to provide two state-of-the-art Bell helicopters for CM Jagan’s use.

Global Vectra Helicopters has been chosen to supply these helicopters with two engines.

The monthly rent for these helicopters is reported to be Rs.1.91 crores, and the agreement includes coverage for additional expenses.

The two helicopters will be stationed in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam for CM Jagan’s use.

Apart from the helicopter lease, the state government has agreed to cover various associated expenses, including ground handling charges at airports, accommodation for pilots in star hotels, transportation, fuel, medical expenses for the helicopter crew, and ATC (Air Traffic Control) charges on an hourly basis.

The measures are being taken to enhance the security and safety of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
